Speeddemon02
Saw a post on Arfcom by Griffin Armament. They made a mount that attaches to the Cutts Comp. Surprised they did not post it here first. https://www.ar15.com/forums/armory/I-ll-bet-you-ve-never-seen-a-suppressed-unmodified-1928A1-Thompson-before-/20-504204/?r=-1&page=1&anc=5193691#i5193691 Edited October 25, 2019 by Speeddemon02
JimFromFL
Anyone wondering how much additional blow back pressure slamming the bolt against the rear of the receiver?
Merry Ploughboy
Anyone wondering how much additional blow back pressure slamming the bolt against the rear of the receiver? And added strain put on the Blish H-piece when used on '21 and '28 TSMGs. That said, the suppressor looks to have a pretty large volume and a .45 ACP round calls for a pretty large projectile path, so the added back pressure may not be all that large. In addition, they discussed how they trued the comp for the gun they used in development, but they'd have to have a projectile path that is large enough to accommodate un-trued comps unless they include trued comps as part of a package which they might be doing. ETA: And even with a trued comp, the barrel threads may be off center and/or off axis which will need to be accounted for by a very generous projectile path. john
They could cure all that with the addition of a set of baffles with larger openings.....maybe .50 caliber?Increase in sound would be negligible but that safety factor would be there.....probably also increase accuracy a wee bit?
