Stgw. 57
My UD-M42, it is not in mint condition but I was very lucky to find one at all, they are hard to find on this side of the pond. My best guess as to it´s provenance would be that it was supplied either to a French or a Belgian "Résistance" movement. The sling is a Kerr for the Thompson SMG. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1127_zps24391e3d.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1128_zps2730fc79.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/39019e2e-c415-4c8d-b432-f718f1658225_zps522f673f.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1130_zps09ca0dc3.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1131_zps59be76d6.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/f7c3b036-f993-4f20-9daa-286089dbe236_zpscb288166.jpg Four cell pouch four single magazines. All four mags were made by UD supplies. I have found no markings whatsoever on the pouch. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1133_zpsa393fca8.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1134_zps1aab630f.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/6ce8f269-c64f-4c7f-9bc3-21eb2562ea66_zps0e00a91a.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1137_zpsd57bc51d.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1138_zps45752858.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1139_zpsff522c0b.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1140_zpsff2e576d.jpg Pouch for one double magazine. There are no markings whatsoever on the magazine assembly. It seems to have been repainted post-war. Probably a blotched try to restore it. http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1141_zpseaeec294.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1142_zps330dd26c.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1144_zpsc343fb88.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1145_zpscf4b4967.jpg http://i179.photobucket.com/albums/w310/theholeinthedonut/Divers/Guns/IMG_1146_zps98d036ec.jpg Edited June 22, 2013 by Stgw. 57

timkel
Many UD-M42 were issued during WWII to OSS agents operating in occupied Europe. I wonder if you have one? Edited June 22, 2013 by timkel
