imageaudio
Wondering if a STEN Bolt will fit all STEN versions 1-5. Or did some MK's use a different measurement? I'm not asking about speed bolts or bronze bolts, etc. Just trying to figure out if a surplus bolt I saw on an auction site will fit my MK2 if the seller doesn't know anything about it? Thanks in advance.
Frank Iannamico
MKV bolts are a little different, but will work in MKII, but a MKII bolt won't work in a MKV. Otherwise I believe they interchangeable.

Thanks in advance. The bolts on the MK2 & MK3 interchange:https://www.apexgunparts.com/sten-bolt-assembly-steel-9mm-fits-mk2-mk3-smg-3718.html The MK5 has a shorter action and the FCG is closer to the breech face.Because of this the MK5 bolt has an additional clearance cut, visible on the front and bottom of the bolt:https://www.apexgunparts.com/sten-mk5-bolt-assembly-steel-9mm-fits-mkv-smg-only.html AND I can see I need to restock MK2 bolts! That is a heavy box I ran across last week. imageaudio
Thanks Frank and Richard for your very prompt replies. For future readers reference, I have attached pictures for easy identification. If looking directly at the face of the bolt, notice the cut around the 2 O'clock position Edited July 31, 2020 by imageaudio
m3bobby
If you can find a Mk1 bolt (rare) then it will function in a Mk1 to 3 gun but you cant move the change lever.
