I've been watching the CMP auction prices continue to go higher and higher while inventory keeps going the opposite direction... halftrack Posted January 23, 2021 Report Share Posted January 23, 2021 (edited) Their inventory is good, they just received thousands of rifles from the Philippines. I think in excess of 80,000. Also, the peak interest in WW2 has come and went, along with the M1 rifle. Most sales are to individuals who want more than one and are mostly boomers. Unless the GCA and other organizations can drum up interest in the younger population, the CMP will become irrelevant along with the history. Same for most of the history we cherish.
