timkel
Was looking one over at a LGS. Looked OK for a shooter. Any idea of quality and value?

jim c 351
My first M1 carbine was purchased from Alpine sales from the add in the American Rifleman.Bought it around 1960. My carbine had a GI receiver, not a new made Nat' Ord. receiver. As I recall it was a 200K Inland receiver, a brand new Marlin barrel, and an M2 trigger housing and slide, a ratty looking stock. The receiver was heavily pitted, sand blasted and parked. When fired ,the barrel would come loose and turn.Traded it off in 1965.While I got off to a bad start with carbines, I more than made up for it over the years.Jim C
timkel
This one was in very good condition, no pitting and had a blued finish. I'm still on the fence about it.
StrangeRanger
Hold out for a GI carbine, nothing collectable just an Inland Frankengun. They may cost a little more but in the long run they're worth it
