Can you use a GI mag catch on a semi and use GI mags or should you modify the catch or the magazine like Kahr? Maybe some one sells a modified mag catch. Grey Crow Posted November 16, 2004 Report Share Posted November 16, 2004 It dosen't mater weather you use a GI or new mag catch both need to be modified to use unaltered GI mags. In the FAQ section there are instructions on how to do it or you can send one to PK or Damon. Damon offers modified catches for sale on his site. 96lt1ss Posted November 16, 2004 Report Share Posted November 16, 2004 My personal preference would be to use the unmodified mags with a GI mag catch. You have a better chance for a proper fit and less chance for a malfunction due to improper positioning.
