johnnj Posted January 12, 2019 Report Share Posted January 12, 2019 I believe that is correct as usage of the DA numbers started about then.A WW2 can would be marked with an Ordnance specification and P.O. number like this-Ord.Dept. AXS-702 (Rev.1)P.O.No. (28-024) 44-40702.1The 44 indicating the fiscal year the P.O. number was issued. FYI, Bayway NJ is now Elizabeth NJ Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
