M1911 Pistol Manuals From 1916-1988, & 1938 Wall Poster

I thought I'd post some photos of my M1911 manual collection, as well as a 1938 wall poster of the M1911 that was made by the Army Map Service. Just about everyone likes 1911's, and we have the Centennial of their design coming up next year. If anyone has any other M1911 paper or pictures they would like to share, feel free to post them here.

I also have some Colt catalogs that include M1911 content that are not pictured.

 

I know there are other WWII base-generated training manuals for the M1911, and I'm interested in any pictures that members here may have of those manuals.

I decided to update the photo of my M1911 manual collection to include a few more that I've acquired (or found stashed away) since the first update.

 

I've had 2 people contact me as a result of the original posting of the M1911 manual photos. This subject has not been well covered in any book on the M1911. Manuals are a great accessory, and for whatever reason, are often overlooked for coverage when writing firearms books. Several firearm books recently have included better coverage, and I'd like to believe I've influenced that somewhat through online reviews and contributions of my manual collection to a few books.

Here's mine

 

It's a 1943 Ithaca "Double Stamped" 1911A1

 

All parts are original except for the grips, they are period grips but they are "Colt woods" where they should be manufactured by Keyes Fibres

 

It has the original "High Standard" barrel and shoots great
