savingmypesos
I know that there has been discussion about the quality of the 1928 WH drums and paying to have them rebuilt. My question is: Numrich is offering to sell 50 round drums on September 14th. Will these need to be rebuilt, or is the spring/quality higher? OldFalGuy
It could be a catch as catch can situation- it was mentioned here that Kahr might look for another sub contractor for drum/components- I am a pessimist at heart and think this is a fairytale- Ergo about any drum will more likely than not need work on it- at least a spring I would imagine. I intend to wait and buy after the ban and get them upgraded so I can enjoy the gun and not lament the drum. Mark
PK.
While the spring is an issue with virtually all WH C drums, it is rarely a problem with the L. The case and cover may require some skillful adjustments to ensure reliability or perhaps to make them fit and work at all, but this is not usually a major undertaking. blishblock
I spoke to the Kahr people at lenght at TCA in Va. They have switched contractors on the drums and I'll bet that none appear until early Nov. They are hoping for Oct, but with Peter's Principle----who knows?
