hughlong
I recently took delivery of a DLO Sten MK2,excellent condition, but with a slight amount of battering at the rear end of the cockling slot. Is the cause a spring that is worn or too short?any other likely causes? Is a new spring the fix or does someone make a buffer out of some material that might fit at the end of the bolt? RoscoeTurner
What type of ammunition are you using?
woodsy
I suspect that the cocking slot may be too short. When the bolt is fully retracted there should be a small gap between the cocking handle and the end of the slot.
hughlong
It does look like the cocking slot is machined too short; Ohio Ordnance is going to fix that as well as fit a latest model cocking handle that locks into the closed position. hughlong
ended up taking this to Philadelphia ordnance instead as i found outthat they are very nearby and i was able to save the expense and hassle and avoid the risk of shipping a NFA item. they fixed it perfectly and quickly and were reasonably priced.
