I suspect he came up with this partly because no one else had thought of it and he could chisel out a little niche for himself. There's no real thought or debate over the rightness or wisdom of the Iraq war or the military in general, only a desire to inflame outrage and get noticed. He's just another troll. Ignore him. Freedom of speech means freedom of speech, but we have the freedom to ignore his speech. Short of a Code Red, that seems the best the response to this "gentleman". Both the extreme left and right seem to hate the American military and all who have served, do serve, in it. Their hatred is uncalled for at this point, IMHO. However, when any government attempts to take the rights of Americans away by force, under the fiat-like orders of rogue judges and unprincipled politicians, we will no longer have a democracy, but something moving towards anarchy, civil war, oligarchy and dictatorship! In a democracy (republic) there will always be dissenters. I, for one, don't always agree with everything our American Government does. I don't agree with much of Patriot Act I, for example, because it infringes upon and nearly eliminates some aspects of the Bill of Rights. I think the new version of Patriot Act II (currently in committee), which would renew much of Patriot Act I and enable law enforcement agencies, such as the FBI, to conduct searches, issue subpoenas, do wiretaps, and use electronic eavesdropping with impunity (no court warrants being necessary), is un-American! These government agencies would not even need proof that the suspect is involved with terrorist groups, or the like; merely having a suspicion would be enough!!
