Not AOW, a .22 Handy Gun

Recommended Posts

That's a new one on me. Very neat to see it.

I recently did some research to determine what the competing, single shot .22's were of the late 1800's to mid 1920's, and the H&R Handygun version was not on my radar. That may be for good reason, since production was so limited, and it was probably at the very tail end of the time range I researched, but I'm still surprised to learn about this variation which was previously unknown to me.

Thanks!

I have number 216.

Are you in contact with Eric Larson?

I have talked to him but he was still working at that time. I understand he is retired now and working on the new book. I have some interesting items he may like to hear about.

I believe it is a more in-depth study of the H&R Handy Gun.
