John Jr
Chris, Quick question. Whats with the actuator floating on your gun? Mind you I no clue what causes it, (could be the video or Quicktime) but it looks like its not running along with each shot. Any ideas what is causing it. Nice Video! Got any spare TVs? Jr PS is this going to start a video war? (oh please let it!)
The1930sRust
John: I cannot offer a technical answer to the "floating actuator", but here is my theory: it has to do with the synchronization of the rate of fire of the Thompson and the frames per second the camera uses to capture the image. They are out of sync, so it appears to float. Same as looking at a helicopter plade or plane prop, and it appears to be going very slowly. 'Swhat I think. mp40
Chris, the last part of the video the T.V. explodes like it was hit by a shotgun why was that? by the way, the sniffle near the end of the video gave away your impending cold!
The1930sRust
Nope, no shotgun. Don't like them. Nasty, uncivilized weapon. I know, it's odd, the exploding TV. You can see how its "guts" were blown out in front and behind. It's almost as if it had some sort of improvised explosive device inside... Weird.
