Help Identify Cartrides

Here are a couple of .45 Cal. cartridges. The one on the left is a "CALIBER .45 M1911" from 1943 (I put this one in for comparison). The one on the right is some sort of shot shell cartridge. Any help would be appreciated.

The Remington shot shell was used bythe police for riots. They also used them in the early Thompson. You can find the 18 round "shot-shell" mags but the run you about $600 bill or more. The 2 in the middle are sure odd looking critters. Maybe something for the police also. Just a guess on them.

The rightmost Western Auto looks exactly like some I've taken out of the Russian Repack containers, thus my guess would be that cartridge is 1940's production. Does the left one have paper or something on the top or perhaps a hollow cavity stuffed with some fiber?

I am certain that they are all WWII or earlier production. All four cartridges originated at AO Bridgeport during this time. The cartridge second from the left has what appears to be a cardboard or stiff felt tip. None of the cartridges "rattle" when I shake them though I suspect some sort of "riot" load. The load on the right is empty even though the primer is unused.
