Text of Ad

For sale is a Colt Thompson Submachine Gun, Model of 1921A. IT IS A PRE - MAY DEALER SAMPLE. A KEEPER!!! This gun is beautiful and functions perfectly. I used it as a shooter during the time I had my Thompson colection. I always thought it was neat to have a Colt shooter when everyone else was using WWII guns. I am asking $22,750.00 for the gun. This price will include insured shipment to you (FFL/SOT) in the first forty-eight states and Alaska. I am also selling other Thompson items to include magazines, canvas, manuals, Life magazines, movie posters, toys, compensators, extractors, ejectors, cleaning rods, rear sight rivets, paintings (water colors), etc.. A CD is available which depicts most of these items. A price list will accompany the CD. I may be reached from 0800 until 2200 hours, eastern time, at 706 888-1921 so as to answer your questions and/or provide details. Should you reach voice mail on that telephone number I will return your call shortly. I have a grandson visiting until 08-18-2009 and my time is not all mine right now. Thanks for looking and let me hear from you.

ADDED: 08-07-2009, 0845 hours

I also have some ammunition. There are loose rounds of shot, blank, and ball from the early periods of the Thompson. I also have full boxes of Ball, Blank, and Dummy from WWII.

Again, thanks for looking.

WOW the holy grail has been found,

the ad is worded nice. and not like the one for the rare D-DAY omaha beach, or maybe gold or juno. mg-34.as the cash for clunker program ends soon. the car guys get to word up all the class three ad's.

as the economy gets worse.they just keep getting better.

>RARE Exoctic,RARE,RARE,Scarce.only five only.and ya-da ya-da.<

old Curtis.would be able to word a ad real good also.and so could R.J.Perry.

hopefully Warren will sell it to a new class three guy for a little less. I am surprised he still has it for sale.Colt's sell quick.

Ron

p.s. edited for all the profanity, and u.s.m.c. comments i had before.

its always better to be nice.

news flash :update>have two people that might pay $12,000.00 and $14,000.00 my take on it. take the money and run....as this stuff will get cheaper.mark down the date.080909.........

I spoke with the Seller. his pricing was based on him having sold tranferables a few years ago for 40-45K. I shared with him my view of current pricing and I believe he will be more flexible if anyone has a genuine interest. the gun has a new barrel on it, but he said he has the original barrel. he said the gun has a savage extractor and actuator. otherwise he says the gun is all correct. the serial number is 7607. he believes the gun was with the Marines in Nicaragua and came back post 68 and pre 86. He says he does not have any Colt accessories.

was getting $40,000.00 and more. thats real good. however now with the new t.v.show."Reality in Life" Welcome to the Real World. appearing on everyone's doorstep everyday now.i think that has changed. if you read some of the board's. i think a few are miffed that they did not make "Crazy Money" on what they bought over the past five year's. and are now trying to put up a good front. on how all of it will spring back.

{they must be seeing too many Viagra ad's}

then again this club of class three has always been about fantasy anyways. so dream on and have fun with it.

kinda like that Presley tune."If I can Dream.......da da dadada

Most Respected Ron,

I have been lucky to have been able to shoot the holy grail.

We should all wish him luck in getting his asking price.

This man as you did took me under his wing in my early Thompson days. He is a fine man and what a collection he had. I am going to post a few picture of his collection as most new people have never seen it.

Chuck those are nice pics and nice stuff. its a real beeatch......that we only get to celebrate ownership of this stuff for so long.then we pass it on. then we pass on.

there has to be a LAW in Heaven.we get to enjoy it longer.

i should have taken one monster pic of all my canvass stuff.and clips and drum's. but who wants to look at fifty drum's.and a eight foot stack of canvass.

however it was all fun. and I'm sure when Warren sell's his last one. he will have the memorie's.as I'm sure he thinks every once and awhile about the stuff he has sold already. i know my Wife reminds me all the time of my 98/99 blunder. SOLD SHORT!

but heh old blue eyes said "Thats Life."

best regards Ron

p.s. the best is yet to come.
