Thanks for posting the video! The discussion of the probably unintended consequences of the amnesty is particularly interesting.

I'd love to see another amnesty, just to let the last of the war souvenirs come out of the shadows, and to prevent the butchering of any more. My own bnz 41 MP-40 was registered during the '68 amnesty, by the same guy who captured it in 1944, and then possessed it illegally for over 20 years.

the original generation who registered them are old or dead now...but the thinking that adding it to the list may some day= confiscation is probably true...it just didnt happen for them.......some day it most likely will....if an amnesty came up again i dont know how many would do it.....is the anti gun climate worse today than 1968? (i was born in 1970 so i dont know)

still think there are more illegal FA's than legal ones....

My BNZ41 was registered during the 1968 amnesty, to the son of the WWII vet who brought it back during WWII. I bought it from the son, who is now in his 70s.

Very Interesting video. It is strange how the amnesty worked out. I for one would like to see another amnesty just to see if a lot of these guns would turn up.

If it was like the last one you could buy an at 15. Convert it to full auto and register it. Youd be.a felon for a few days. But you could make your own full auto.

Grab a open bolt mac semi Convert it. Register it.

Am i wrong ?

It depends on what type of Amnesty it is, back in 68' government wanted every NFA weapon put on register that it could get on it. That's why gov overlooked some things that would let people slide just so they would be brought forward. I guess the Gov could bring one up that would let any machine gun that was out there (bring back) get put on register, but no new manufactured MG's, like no Form 1's.

take every dewat war trophy and make it a live weapon....seems like a gold mine for law breakers....if it doesnt run well? doesnt matter..fix that later after its registered

people took advantage of the first one and they would this one....brings more guns into the registry i guess....

none of it will ever happen....shootings are weekly.....church today....20 dead....is there a chance in hell for any pro gun stuff anytime soon?.....i think were just lucky to hold onto anything we have...7 years there will be a democrat in the white house (probably)....everything may be controlled by Bernie Sanders from his life support machine in the white house
