M1 Barrel Question

Were there any unmarked vintage M1 or A1 barrels made ?? I have seen them with various markings but always wondered are the unmarked ones modern reproductions?? Tia Vin

i believe that the military ones were all marked S or square S

 

unmarked ones could be west hurley or later aftermarket

I have one nos barrel ( not in a package) with just the "P" test fire mark stamped on it.I assumed it was a vintage replacement barrel but is that correct or does it need to have the savage or stevens stampings along with the P test fire stamp??

. Does it have a prick punch mark anywhere near the breech. It can be hard to see.......Jimmy
