Saw A Thompson In An "old Timers' Collection

It was an M1 (with matching upper and lower!) and in very nice condition.

 

Note: The M1 bolt had had been machined on the top .050 x .500 and left side to remove metal (make lighter?) about .050 deep x .750" wide on side.
