Made A Silencer Today

Recommended Posts

Made a silencer today for a .22 rifle. It worked out pretty good, about as quite as a pellet gun. I used a cheap .22 rifle so I didn't have too much cash invested, and basically built it out of spare parts lying around the shop. Actually used a piece of muffler pipe for the housing! Not I'm thinking that it would be fun to try to make one for a thompson. Anybody have a extra barrel that is really crappy, rifling gone, bulged, or pitted that I could experiment on? I'm looking for something really cheap. 10 or 16 inch OK.

Dan, you have plenty o' posties around to play with. I talked to a couple people here about a thread on for my '28. That would be my next....unless something pops up again, adventure.

A suppressed full auto Thompson.

Check out the Richardson book on Supressors (not silencers...!).

Great reference and his suggested barel replacement is really cool! Includes an intergal grip mount!

Wish I could have on here in MI http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/mad.gif
