bfryar44
Here are some pictures of an M1 Thompson (deactivated) that a friend of mine from Belgium posted. Has that "Battle Worn" look! Enjoy! bfryar44 http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr.../M1Thompson.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...M1Thompson3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...M1Thompson2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...M1Thompson4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...M1Thompson5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...M1Thompson6.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...M1Thompson7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...M1Thompson8.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...M1Thompson9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...1Thompson10.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...1Thompson11.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...1Thompson12.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v110/bfr...1Thompson13.jpg
Merry Ploughboy
Lotta history on that one, for sure. Thanks for posting. MP
Zamm
Nice. Interesting, much more reasonable way of de-activating, leaving a lot more of the original intact. Do you know how much a piece like that go for over in Belgium? Zamm
bfryar44
Zamm, When I was in Normandy, France in 1999 for the 55 Anniversary of D-Day another friend of mine had several for sale in his shop. They ranged in price from $300-$800 at that time. He had Dutch reenactor come into his shop and sell him a near mint condition M1A1 Savage for $200 (deactivated of course)! The prices have been going up over there since then. He says that one in this condition will get around $300-$400. A nice minty M1 or M1A1 will be around $600-$800. Deactivated of course. bfryar44
Zamm
Good Lord! Amazing, really, Those are quite resonable prices for such un-butchered. I guess there were plenty left around after the war. Thanks for the info. Best, Zamm

Bisley45
Very interesting rebuilt or overhalled at both Mount Riener and Rock Island Armory. Neat gun, hopefully they can keep future dewats that neat or better. BB
