Sandman1957
Don't know if this has been reported yet, but SN 10841 was not in Gordon's last Book. If it has been reported I must have overlooked it. Recommend keeping a running tally on the numbers turned up, so we don't cover down on them multiple times. Here is a link to it. http://dealernfa.com/shop/colt-u-s-navy-2128-very-nice-10841/ CheersSandman1957
dalbert
I examined this Colt last Saturday in person in Miami. It's nice. Has the 2-piece actuator from the 21/28 conversion. I will add it to the serial number list. David Albertdalbert@sturmgewehr.com
Normal1959
Can someone tell me the year of manufacture? I've bought a dozen guns from Ruben and prices were always fair. Is this the normal price for a navy Thompson assuming this condition?ThanksEric
dalbert
Normal1959, It was manufactured in March, 1922. Condition is really good on this TSMG, and the price reflects it. Ruben has a very similar Colt Navy (# 8618), which also has the two-piece actuator, but the condition is not near as nice as # 10841. The difference in price between these 2 Colts is $10K. If you haven't already, you should purchase The Ultimate Thompson Book, by Tracie L. Hill. You will see some more Colts, and be able to read up on the history of the TSMG. michaelkih
Price is high. It's a Navy gun and looks VERY well used. I don't see it selling anytime soon. Ruben is a good guy to work with though, and he can afford to hold onto it until he gets his asking price.
