lightguy
I have a very nice 1921 that I have decided to shoot and not just have collect dust. But I want to put 1928 GI internals into it so not as to risk the danger of screwing up the Colt parts. Cyclic rate change not needed per the PK kit unless there is one out there immediately. What parts do I need and/or who has a complete "kit" for sale using new or newish parts ? PM me OK ? bob241
You can all the parts you need from Don Bell at Omega Systems, his parts are not new, but what I have ordered looked like new.You would need a 1928 Bolt,(complete) a recoil spring, recoil spring guide, a bish lock, a actuator, either smooth or knurled, and a buffer.\ http://www.omega-weapons-systems.com/thompson1928m1.html
ppgcowboy
Get a 28 housing too. The recoil spring guide would be a pilot.
lightguy
Upper receiver parts only. The lower can stay as is.
ppgcowboy
The housing is the lower. I would exchange that too as it can get scratched and the parts can wear too. Change everything in the upper and get a lower and put the Colt parts away for safe keeping and show. Your wallet will thank you later when you sell it. Some may say exchange the barrel too.
