john
Well, I'll be there as stated earlier. We stay at the Comfort Inn in Brooks. Wolfer, yer on for a room party, or hot tub or....will bring something to drink!! There are three of us, one is a newby. I'll have my '28 Bridgeport and my Frankensmith (modified S&W76 with a Holosite...) along with a couple semis (Ar and AK). No plans for matches, but will shoot the Junglewalk a few times and also shoot open relay on the lower range first thing Sunday AM ((-10:30 works out well and it's not crowded.....maybe a bunch of us could do this??) http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/huh.gif We isially do a decent steak dinner at Rio's in Shepherdsville on Friday night......maybe a bunch of us?? (Friday isn't too busy after the show). Wolfer, just call on the Hotel phone and ask for John Anderson (me!). They won't tell you the room number, but will connect you and we can get in touch that way. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif Looking forward to seeing a few of you down there.... And Junglewalk, I'll bring mu drum in case you don't have one for your new toy and want to try one out!!! john
john
One other thing.... Full Auto 45, IF you don't have reservations, bring a sleeping bag and pad.....then if you get to the area and can't find a room, give me a holler. We have a room with two beds and one of us bringing a cot. If you don't mind the floor for a night, we can make room for you (heck, we can even swipe extra towels from the pool and you can use the shower in the AM!) Just an option for ya! john
Brickyard
The shower thing for Full Auto 45 is an important aspect http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif One should certianly consider making one available to him. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif
full auto 45
Showers! Showers! I don't need no stinking showers! I spent many of my years in turn one of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway back when it was called the "snake pit". Mud, guts, blood and beer. Aaaaaah! Those were the days. Charlie
Since I live in Radcliff (retired Army Bandsman-trumpet), I expect to be going, again. I've never shot any of the shooting competitions. Never had much urge to try and look into it. If I can get off of work on Friday, I may go then, if only to have a better chance of finding some good bargains on hard to get parts. Otherwise I'll probably be there all day on Saturday. junglewalk
What a possibility ! A Triumph of Thompson Power!..from only one Thompson going thru the 'Jungle' during the last shoot, to many Thompsons plowing into 'charlie' !..(not you Charlie, my neighbor). I better have a bunch of replacement targets standing-by, cause Tommy just tears up my mounting rings on the metal trgs........Bring your own SMG, and 50 rounds & do it! (we have a wore-out Uzi for those who need it) http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/dry.gif Read below and remember, the four close together trgs, require the shooter to spray, with one burst, into the target area for full target credit/suppression.(these 4 do not need individual hits),ha! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif Best time is Mornings-Fri-Sat......the afternoons of both days, especially Sat, there is a long wait....but we run it as quickley & safe as possible. This is informal competion, and some folks just want to shoot any SMG for the first time, so some runs are longer than others............jw http://www.hunt101.com/img/124249.jpg
john
And hopefully the Junglewalk won't be "knee deep in water" (or mud!!) john http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif
wolfer113
ooooooohhhhhhhhhh nnnnnnooooooo........as bad as i hate to say this...it don't look like we'll be making it to knob this time....my father has had some heart problems come up all the sudden so i probley won't make this one....hoprfully i can sneak down for fridays assualt rifle match since i've already paid for 3 spots in it.....but hey Mike....we have a double bed room booked at comfort inn in brooks.....so i can hook you up with a place to stay.....wifes gonna call and cancel it soon....so i know you can call and get it maybe........i waaaannnnaaaaaaaa go soooooooooo bbaddddd....... full auto 45
I called the Radcliff Inn today. Guess what, I got the last room for the week-end. And got a deal on it. I figured they would be higher then a hillbilly on that shine, but she gave me a AAA rate and I'm in. But now I won't get there until about 8 or 9 at night. I'm stocking up on beer now as I hears it a dry county. Tino, Chris, sounds like it could be a "go ugly early" week-end like in Ohio! CJ come on down Saturday nite and bring a bag, pull up some floor. Thanks for the offer wolfer113. I wish you could be there, but I know all about that heart thing just popping up on ya. Happened to me a couple times.
