Broadarrowmaint
Some guy on a Facebook group Im apart of posted these pictures of a Thompson that is very interesting looking. He said it is hung up at his work. Definitely demilled, but can anyone shed any light on the origin of this Thompson, and what it is? Foreign copy? Kind of looks like an early savage or a 21a but Im really scratching my head on this one. Interesting way of attaching butt stock and the foregrip is also unique. Thanks in advance! TD.
Broadarrowmaint,The frame appears to be early Colt's. Note the markings, vertical arrows, levers and magazine catch. Any chance you can reach out to the poster and see if he can take a few close-up pictures of the frame and receiver. Perhaps it is a well worn but heretofore unknown Colt's! Perhaps the serial number under the butt stock is still readable. Edited January 31, 2020 by TD.
shadycon
What is stamped just above the metal but stock mounting bracket?
JJX
In addition to TD's observation of the frame markings, the pistol grip, as shown in the photo on the left, appears to me to be Colt. But what about the vertical fore grip? Looks a little odd.
Broadarrowmaint
Unfortunately the post got taken down from Facebook for some odd reason, Im going to try and reach out to him and request more up close photos of the markings and to see if there is a number on the receiver or the grip frame. Its very hard to tell with the pictures I posted, but my first thoughts at first was that it was a Colt 21a. Not quite sure what is stamped above the butt stock mounting bracket to be honest. RogerD
The photo was taken down from Facebook because it scares women, children, and all the assorted snowflakes fearing the picture will kill them.

johnsonlmg41
Just repost it with the addendum: "This Thompson submachine gun identifies as a labradoodle puppy." Hey now, careful some mini doodle pups are very intimidating and would also likely get booted from facevirus showing how discriminatory they are towards vertically challenged gingers. He left his MAGA hat by the food bowl.
