TSMGguy
This is the WH M1 TSMG that has just returned from PK. I bought it new and unfired in its original box, but could not get it to fire more than a few rounds without jamming or failing to feed. I asked PK to emulate a wartime M1 as closely as possible since the gun is marked as an M1. He replaced the cast WH internals with GI parts and completed the machining operations originally omitted. He recontoured the receiver and frame to GI specs and pinned the front sight. The milled grip mount is a beautiful item of his own manufacture, as are the rear sight rivets. The receiver and frame are matte blued, and the stocks and grip are WWII NOS GI. A nice final touch was the addition of a small Diamond K logo where the ordnance bomb would be found on the WWII guns. It is impossible to convey with words and pictures the quality of the work that PK bestowed on this project. PK's work is exemplary, and is to the very highest of standards. (Photos have been reattached and are now found on page two.) Many thanks to Chris Anderson (The1930sRust) for his assistance in learning to use the WS_FTP Pro photo upload program! Merry Ploughboy
TSMGguy, Regarding your photo work - not too shabby. If you would like some tips from experts, the Subguns NFA discussion forum presently has some advice from experts on taking gun photos with some examples. The PK work is, as always, top notch. You have a functional piece of art.
Poprivit
TSMGuy, I see by the photo of the mag/rounds in the gun that you have erroneously drilled the .45 cases. If this is done, it lets all the smoke out of the case and the bullet won't travel very far down the bore. This also happens if primers are removed. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Nice work by PK! Norm
That's a nice M1! I know PK has to keep records of the guns he has worked on;I wonder what the percentage on WH's (28 and M1) he has worked on?! He has probabaly reworked at least 15% of all registered WH guns! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif Happy shooting! TSMGguy
Waiting time was some seven months. This was expected and only reflects the time spent waiting in line for some of the PK magic. Cost was under $1,000 including parts and USPS registered shipping both ways. We fired 600 rounds through it the weekend after it was returned and functioning was perfect, even when heavily fouled by really dirty WWII surplus ammo.
