mitchell6776
Did the lend lease BARs get refinished before return to the US? My Winchester is a late war production, model 1918 lend lease gun. The finish is not blue per se, more like blue-black with a slightly duller finish. Or-did W change the finish towards the end of production? Thanks
BillyDixon
years ago i bought a lend lease bar from interarms. around 1962. it was a 1918 marlin , had nice commerical looking blue. had a big red stripe painted around the forearn to show it was .30-06. i alos saw 1917 .30-06 enfields with the red stripe painted on them. i dont think the british gave a hoot about refinishing except black paint.
