Black River Militaria CII
Swiss 7.5 MG51 loader for the Swiss continuous metal belts.
DZelenka
That's it, but It's an 8mm loader. I'll check it with some 7.5 Swiss but I am pretty sure they won't fit. It works great. Edited November 15, 2015 by DZelenka
Black River Militaria CII
No, it is not an 8mm loader. It is for the Swiss 7.5x55 round, but 7.92x57 fits through it and loads fine. Early MG51 loaders were adapted from the MG11 fabric belt loaders, which are 7.5 and which were converted to load the Swiss continuous metal belts. The fabric belt pocket opening knife was removed and the fabric belt advancing parts and the metal belt parts assembled to the loader in place of the fabric belt parts. The last iteration of the Swiss MG51 loaders were purpose made for that gun and no longer converted MG11 loaders. The MG51 belts have the same pitch as MG34/42 belts and load to the same depth.Hope this helps.

DZelenka
Thanks guys. I loaded both 8mm and 7.62 nato with it. The Swiss 7.5 fits perfectly but I don't have any belt fed in that caliber.
