michaelkih
My wife's cousin got married in Amarillo, and they all know me as the guy with lots of machine guns. They asked if I could bring my machine guns up for them to shoot the morning of the wedding, and of course I said yes. All the guns are transferables, except the Colt BAR is a pre sample. It is honestly a gun that I never knew I wanted, but it was a good price so I bought it, and it ended up being one of the happiest purchases I ever made. As most of you know, it is an absolute dream to shoot, and per your guy's advice here, after replacing the extractor spring about 600 rounds ago, the thing has ran 100% flawless! It definitely stole the show that day too. I find it amazing, that I had an M16(RDIAS), M60E6, HK23E, Uzi, PPSH-41, and the BAR, and out of all those guns, the BAR, the gun that is almost 100 years old, stole the show, and EVERYONE there agreed it was the coolest gun that day. Slow fire REALLY won the day!! Anyways, here are a couple pictures from the day. Such a great day, and it helped me meet another 30-40 friends and family that day. I'll be honest too, it was pretty cool having people come up to me all night during the wedding to introduce their kids and significant others to me, the machine gun guy I love owning these things, and I'm sure many of you can relate to this feeling. I look forward to sharing these toys with my new friends and family for many many more years! http://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu302/michaelkih/Wedding1_zpsylrgs4sz.jpghttp://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu302/michaelkih/Wedding2_zpsfmtxj883.jpghttp://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu302/michaelkih/Wedding4_zpserkedgan.jpghttp://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu302/michaelkih/FullSizeRender_zps4vuw1w4m.jpghttp://i658.photobucket.com/albums/uu302/michaelkih/FullSizeRender2_zpsy1jhqmsa.jpg Edited May 24, 2016 by michaelkih

Got Uzi
Of all the rifle caliber machine guns out there and as bad as I want a belt fed, I would rather have a BAR and call it a day. There is something about them that is just cool.

michaelkih
Jim C, i'm getting a Thompson. I want a Colt 21A, so I'm currently slowly setting aside $60,000 to buy a nice one. I hope to be able to make the purchase in 2017. I will be posting a want to buy ad here of course.
jl7422
Sold a Maxim to (partially) fund a BAR. . . and have never looked back. That BAR is WAY more fun and WAY less hassle.
jim c 351
That's what we like to hear around here.Best of luck.I think I should warn you, if you buy a 60K TSMG better also save up another 20K for a shooter. The 60K gun should only leave the safe for show and tell.Jim C
michaelkih
I figure I will probably shoot it once, and then oil it up real well and hang it on the wall. You are correct. I do not plan on shooting it anymore than that. I have plenty of other more fun machine guns to shoot and keep me busy. I just want the Colt so that I can look at it and fondle it and enjoy it. michaelkih
It will actually more than likely be my last machine gun purchase. I pretty much have everything else that I wanted to get. For some reason the Thompson ended up being the last. Probably because it is also the most expensive. Yikes, that is a lot of money for a gun, but I want it, so it is what it is. Got Uzi
Darryl, I'd love to have it but right now I suffer from "insufficient-fundulation" more commonly referred to as "empty wallet syndrome"
USMC0802
Darryl, can you PM me the link to your gun? BAR is next on my list. I am not having any luck finding it on Sturm, but have never been accused of being the sharpest lightbulb in the drawer...
