US ordnance rebuild marked 1928 butt stocks

Recommended Posts

I am wondering how many members have a 1928 buttstock that has a US Ordnance rebuild facility cartouche stamp?

I see more examples of M1 stocks marked with rebuild cartouche stamps is: MR, SAA, AAE or other inspector initials.

How many 1928 rebuild stamped stocks are out there in collections? Reinforced or early non reinforced?

Deleted.

I had never before seen an arsenal refurbished M1928A1, and have never seen one offered for sale. Thanks, LSU!

This is from an old Gun Broker listing. I saved the photos for reference. This M1928A1 was refurbished and the buttstock marked "OGEK" for the Ogden, Utah arsenal with Elmer Keith's initials as inspector.
