If I call the BATFE, does anyone know what phone number (specificaly) I call? What info do I need to provide them with? Is there a website I can find out the status from? Jay Baker Posted April 29, 2004 Report Share Posted April 29, 2004 Call 202-927-8330, tell them you are checking on status of a transfer, give them the serial number, and that you are the transferee. They can tell you when the check was cashed, if the transfer is pending, approved or declined. Its been a couple of years but I think I rememberd the procedure correctly. TSMGguy Posted April 30, 2004 Report Share Posted April 30, 2004 No expert here, but I'm not sure that "pending" means much beyond an indication that your paperwork has been received and the process has been started. Two months after the transfer of my WH M1 went pending, I got a request for additional paperwork, a "citizenship certification". Approval came another 90 days later. The answer to your original question is buried in the fine print on the part of the form 4 that most of us tear off, never read, and throw away.
