Merry Ploughboy
Hawkeye, Congratulations - gotta love the M1's! Question: Do you possibly mean 1985? I believe (perhaps I'm wrong) that WH M1's were made in 1985 and 1986 - at least that's what the NFA Toys list says. Anyway, enjoy, shoot, savor... Hawkeye_Joe
I talked to the original owner.. he said that the builder bought the receiver and it was purchased in 1984 from AO in WH and built using NOS GI parts.. So it is not in the normal WH M1 serial number range.. ... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif The only thing WH about it is the receiver... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/smile.gif

TD.
Hawkeye_Joe, Congratulations on your purchase. Nice gun http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Do you know if the receiver was manufactured by Auto-Ordnance, West Hurley, New York or if it was a receiver they obtained somewhere else and then sold to the original owner. You state the serial number is not in the normal WH M1 serial number range. Does the serial number have a "NAC" suffix or prefix or a letter "A" suffix? Thanks,
Hawkeye_Joe
I can only tell you what I'm told.. .. and that hasn't been discussed....From what I know...it does have an "A" suffix
