leonjoh
I recently bought a .22 caliber 1927 A3. It wouldn't extract very well so I tried to bend out the hook end of the extractor and, of course, broke it. Does anybody know where I can buy another one? Mohawk
QUOTE (leonjoh @ Mar 21 2006, 01:34 AM) I recently bought a .22 caliber 1927 A3. It wouldn't extract very well so I tried to bend out the hook end of the extractor and, of course, broke it. Does anybody know where I can buy another one? Hmmm deja-vue, your not me by any chance, did the same thing. Someone pointed out (ssh someone might hear) that the Marlin 88 has the same part, just order an extractor for that, E-gunparts have them in stock here. http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp...erModel=082Zz88 You will find that the left side has an extra little piece on, that will need to be removed. I just used a pair of metal snips to cut the offending piece off, job done & it works great now with mini-mags. Ease the chamber mouth slightly & check the firing pin length, as mine was well over length & had indented the chamber mouth, causing no-fires when the rim bent into the void. It's easy to fix though. If you want good ejection, check the height of the ejector stub above the mag lips, it runs in a groove in the bottom of the bolt & should be as high in there as possible. Likewise the mags rattled like crap, so I used epoxy & filler on the lots in the banana mag adapter & filed it back so the mag is a snug fit & now it feeds & ejects very reliably ! Have Fun Mohawk.
