Berettas, all Berettas, used to be $12-16K guns not so very long ago. Everything WWII-era has gone up in price recently but none seem to have escalated quite as rapidly as the Berettas. I have zero idea why.

This will be interesting to watch.
Those Beretta's are very nice shooters!

Ive listed mine on GB

Why not just cut to the chase and make a it a true auction with a penny start? I'd bet that it would easily sell for $15K+.

I see in your listing you got a extra 38/42 barrel? Are you gonna sell it also? I don't have much rifling left on mine, may want a spare. I also bought mine about six years ago and almost choked when I saw that auction price.

Are you looking for smooth or fluted? My fluted is nos but the bore has a bit of frosting starting. Bore Id rate a 7. Exterior is 100% perfection

Why list it on GB where you have to pay a commission? Sturmgewehr is free and has a more focused audience

Ive sold guns on GB that got bid up to significantly more than expected. With this gun Im not sure of value. I might get 0 bids, 1 bid or could get a few. We will see what the market is. I dont need to sell it. Ive got 10 watchers in 10 hours. With sturm id have 1-2 stupid questions by now.

More free advertising, that's why! Seller and buyer can agree on a private transaction off of Gunbroker (really just a middle man) and poof -- no sales tax or GB seller's premium.

APEX Gun Parts has a supply of original Beretta Model 38/44 barrels listed for sale on the web site.

I have one of these set aside as a spare.
There is also about 30 more magazines inbound to be restocked.

Im watching this auction too. I have a smooth barrel 38/42 bring back with the 4UT stamp on the stock. I cant imagine its worth the same or close to a MP44 now.
The "4UT" marking is interesting.
I once owned a Beretta Model 1935 pistol with that marking.
My SMG is also marked on the stock.

GunBroker is now charging sales taxes on all sales unless you have a tax exemption. I am not sure how that will affect the higher prices items, but I don't see it as a positive.

My stock is also marked 4UT with a 44 under that. Mine is a vet bringback (I got the paperwork he filled out in 1947).
