I opened the front page and they had a picture of two guys in the front (1 Beretta pistol) and the other guy had what appeared to be a Colt Thompson as it did not have a compensator.

The guy in the back looks to be holding a Garand.

Haiti Thompson Photo #1

I got another picture but I can't host it so I can't post it! (whoa that was deep)

Now, that's how one should be armed against an "Insurrection/Guerilla War".

Arthur, I don't think the Haitians are turning back American boat people!

I wonder, if I start my own country down here in NC, would the gvt supply my fledgling army with the basic armament? How do I apply http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif ? Hmm, a couple of Thompsons, garands, maybe several M-60s and maybe a used main battle tank.

Phil,

I have to agree with your assessment of some of our misguided alliances. And it shouldn't be a "Left v. Right" issue. Sometimes we've made it that way, and we've suffered as a result.

By the way, there's a good book out that you might enjoy, "Charlie Wilson's War," about former Rep. Wilson's single-handed campaign to get U.S. aid to the Mujahadeen (SP?) during the Soviet occupation. I never made it to Afghanastan, but I knew Wilson and several other players described in book, and it seems to be a even-handed portrayal. One reason I mention this is because it describes another example of a well-intentioned effort with future unintended consequences.

Giant Panda,

That is of course, original factory duct tape...

Very rare, only seen outside of this country.

Cheers, Zamm
