Howdy Folks, First time on here. I am a gunsmith in CA and my customer wants to mount a scope on his. Has anyone done this? Any tips or tricks?

ive seen this done years ago,,, guy made up an extrs top cover plate,, the part that dovetail into the bolt lock up,, new adapter was thicker to accomadate a screwed on picky rail, then could use any scope rings,, please in no way ever think about drill and tap any holes on the reciever,,just sayn

Yep , mount on a spare cover so you can return it to original . Your pocketbook or your heirs will thank you at selling time .

This sounds like a great idea to me. If there are any board members capable of making the thicker top plate, I'll take 2. How bout it Deerslayer?
Would like to put one on my R75 SA clone franken-gun!

That would prob'ly mark up the receiver .
