brian
anybody know anything about them? are they off of vintage guns, or is there a chance you might get a west hurly lower? are they really beat up?
leid
Hi Brian, None of IMAs frames are WH. They were all off of unissued Savage and AO TSMGs from WW2. The ones I have gotten from IMA are like new. Ohioordnanceworks.com has them also, but for a cheaper price. I don't know about their quality, though. Call and ask them. They are nice people to deal with. Good luck, Carey
SecondAmend
FWIW the IMA lower I got in a '28 parts kit appears to be (as do the rest of the parts) new and unfired. Some (including the lower and the barrel) have handling dings. The wood parts are dented pretty deeply. The metal dings are small and not in critical areas. Nothing was so serious that I felt the need to send them back.
brian
man you mean these are off of new guns, that were destoryed. i'd take one in ok condition, but a new one almost makes me sick. the nerve of our gov'mt. i would have been more than willing to safe guard atleast one of them. Grumpy
Got one a while ago. Really nice! Never had a problem with IMA. Bill
SecondAmend
By the way, I have bought several other items from IMA. No complaints. In fact, I consider the slotted brass Thompson cleaning rod they're selling for $5 a real bargain.
Chopper28
I also got a 28 kit from them last year. Excellent condition, including the wood. Very pleased with their service.
