Them’s was big bucks back then Sonny !!!

According to a report from Cornell U., the average unionized construction worker was making about $3/hr in 1957, depending on geography. Not many guys would be willing to spend 3 1/2 days pay on a gun that won't even put food on the table.

Old Sensei,

Can you post a copy of the advertisement?

Here is a copy of the ad mentioned in the first post. It was hard to copy off the Internet due to the low resolution. I had to do some manipulation to be able to get it readable. This is about the best I could do.

The world was in another direction it did not sell that well.Just like when this 2020 stuff is over with, we will have a restructure of demand items.Cheap guns and ammo sure. Water Food paper products. CASH. and a sprinkle of Gold and Silver,

the big heavy demand for old guns and the enormous tab they want not so much.

This hit has put a big change in many a life now.
