huggytree Posted May 21, 2017 Author Report Share Posted May 21, 2017 i have a wife that partially wants to conceal carry and partially doesnt.....she got her CCW for Utah and never used it to get it for WI...now she let the Utah permit lapse....my middle daughter is taking hunter safety to go deer hunting with me in the Fall....she is going to take the class with her and then get her CCW for WI.....and she amazingly emailed me last week saying she decided on this gun......so i thought it was fun to make it more girly for her...looks amazing for what it is...approx 25 cents and 15 minutes time i would not do this to a high dollar gun, but to a $250 gun...hell ya now i need to get her a holster.....trying to talk her out of a purse which i think i have done Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
06AngusSG Posted May 21, 2017 Report Share Posted May 21, 2017 The only couple of things I've done it to is the white letters in my Kahr Thompson and changing some of me 3dot white sights to green rear and orange front for better sight acquisition. Good on keeping away from the purse carry. I had to do the same with my wife. Best explanation is what's the first thing on a woman a robber takes??? The purse... And now they're unarmed. My wife uses a FlashBang Bra holster. Check them out if you haven't. None of my business but if she's not... Ahem... "big enough" cup wise it won't work. To much printing. MG08 Posted May 22, 2017 Report Share Posted May 22, 2017 My wife, ex wife, daughter, and DIL all carry using various "things." only exwife and Daughter are "big" enough to use a bra holster and they dont. I preach situational awareness and preparation as a means of being " a jump ahead". It has worked on several occasions for them, and did not result in any casualties. Hard to get them to think in those terms all the time. Any good carry ideas for women are appreciated ! I teach a lot of women ( friends of my women) basic shooting skills, and many want to get a CHL type permit. Always looking for good ideas..... huggytree Posted May 22, 2017 Author Report Share Posted May 22, 2017 im trying to get my wife to join a womens shooting group/club.... she is VERY good with rifles...she has out shot me at 100 yards.....but handguns? she used to be good, but not so much anymore...and she has never been a fast shot...but i wouldnt think most situations require extreme accuracy....id think point and shoot at 5-10 yards or less.......we have a full size human target at 15 yards at my range...ill practice with her until she can blast 8 shots into him quickly. she is not new to guns...just not in practice since we had kids and stopped going together....she shoots machine guns with me Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
