I have always enjoyed the intellectual level of the members on this board. The amount of heavy thinking never fails to astound me. Was Kerry there also?

Full auto 45, he said that when he was trying to fire up his fellow Tri Lambda geek frat brothers after they were humiliated by the right wing jocks on campus.

Another trivia question about D-Day. Does anybody know the average temperature on the day of days?

That's absolutely right, 21 smoker, and then he (Kerry) decided to call it all off. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/unsure.gif So, they had to get Eisenhower to finish the job the next day, June 6, 1944! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif It must have been Kerry's brilliant plan all along...to fool the Nazis! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif You know...keep them guessing as to the exact time and place!!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Regards, Walter

Well at least Kerry hasn't claimed responsibility for inventing the intenet. Another intelectual giant by the name of Al Gore scored that coup before Kerry could. If Kerry didn't like the war or the Navy, he could have been a man taken off his uniform and then said what ever he wanted about Vietnam. To bad mouth the service while still wearing the uniform is low even for someone who slithered out from under a rock

M1tommygun: I think I know the answer to the triva question about the average temperature. Some of the average temperatures from around the world were: 57, 60, 98, 72, -40 and 22. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif The baseball scores that day were 7 to 2, 4 to 3 and 6 to 0. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif Need I go on?

Saddam had WMD's also. You could ask the relatives of the 5,000 Kurds gassed to death by him!!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/blink.gif I believe he just buried the WMD's in the desert or shipped them to friendly folks in Syria, Pakistan, Al Kaeda, etc. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/cool.gif Regards, Walter

P.S. Hurridale, fortunately, we already know how President Bush responds to evil endangering the United States of America. They bring down a building and two soverign nations are brought to their knees and a criminal/ terrorist organization is routed and vigorously pursued around the globe. Would Kerry have the balls, or would he have to ask Theresa, Congress, the United Nations, and even our enemies, what is permissible?!!! http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif

It was a Tuesday. Geman General Erich Marcks predicted an invasion in his sector ( the Cotentin peninsula). He said,

"Since the prediction is that the Yanks and the Tommies will land at Calais, at high tide only in good weather, I predict they will land here, at low tide, in bad weather. I think the Tommies will go to church one last time, and then go to sea."

The invasion was scheduled for the next day, Monday June 5. It was postponed due to bad weather, but could not be put off any further as the troops had been loaded on board ships for several days, and the risk of a security leak grew the longer the invasion was postponed. Ike made the tough decision to go the next day and risk weather as the next time tides were favorable for a low tide, dawn landing was over 10 days away and it would not have a new moon for the airborne to land in the dark until almost mid July.

Walter,

Bush attacked IRAQ for something SAUDIS committed while living in AFGHANISTAN, then said that SADDAM had NOTHING to do with 9/11. You're right -- we know how Bush responds to terrorist attacks on this country!

When you heard the news on 9/11, did it take YOU seven minutes to GET OFF YOUR ASS to respond? C'mon, WAKE UP!!

BTW, they BOTH have the EXACT SAME POSITION on the AWB: Bush has said over and over he will sign a renewal into law. Make no mistake, Brother: whoever wins this election, the AWB will be back.

Buy 'em now!

As for what Kerry would have done, the irrefutible fact is Kerry went to 'Nam, Clinton and Bush didn't. At least Clinton didn't go AWOL!
