Oldtrooper
This topic comes up on a regular basis on this forum, especially with new semi auto gun owners. Mis-feeds causing the extractor to pop out of its track with a FTF. I solved this problem by lightly staking the extractor with the bolt. I can still remove the extractor by lightly tapping on the rear of it with a punch driving it forward. I have read that Kahr will pin the extractor, and this probably would be a better fix ... As long as the pin/screw doesn't shoot loose and jam the bolt up into the receiver. All I am saying is this fix worked for me ... I have never had an extractor issue since I did this. Hossbreed45
What is that hole on the bottom of the bolt below the extractor? Looks like a roll pin is in there. What is it pinning in place?

peter kohler
I bought a new USGI extractor for my west hurly and staked it the same way ... haven't had a miss feed or ejection problem since. I also bought a used 27 not knowing what problems it had and I ended up replacing the firing pin and extractor. I also used the USGI extractor in it. didn't have to stake it and it runs like a champ.
