Bill-banger
I'm not sure its allowed here, but I have a spare 1928 Buttstock for sale. I bought it for my anticipated M1A1 and was not sure at the time if it would fit, and of course it won't. It is brand new and dark, beautiful wood. No metal is included except the crosspin and buttons. Contact me if interested, and I apolgize if this isn't supposed to be on this board. Oh yeah, I need $50 for it. giantpanda4
These are available all over the place for about $5/each. That is what they were at a gun show last weekend. Is yours one that was recently made by Dan Block? That would justify your pricing!
Bill-banger
I have no idea who made it, looks pretty good, but I guess I got taken, which is what I get for jumping on the first part I saw without doing any research. Oh well, live and learn!
Z3BigDaddy
Not trying to pile on but.......... Last SGN Numrich had them for $3.50 a piece and if you bought 10 it went down to $2.50.... That's cheaper than I can buy firewood.... You need to hit ebaYâ„¢ to get any price for it...

Zamm
Ah, The magic of Ebay! I put my M1 buttstock up after PK changed my Westy to accept 21/28 stock. Granted, it was in great shape and all, but by saying it was re-finished, hand rubbed, etc... I recieved $70.00 http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/wink.gif Still have a long way to go to make up for all the Thompson stuff I bought from Ebay before finding this Forum http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif Zamm
Bill-banger
Yeah, well I guess I can offset it by thinking of the box of 30 rd. mags I got from Tapco for $6 each. I guess I'll try Ebay with the stock and hopefully get most of my money back.
Z3BigDaddy
QUOTE (PhilOhio @ Jan 7 2005, 12:30 PM) QUOTE (Z3BigDaddy @ Jan 7 2005, 12:04 PM) Some day I'll tell you the story of the Johnson rifle I sold for 55 bucks Ditto. Mine didn't go for $50, but almost as bad. The lesson I learned about 1965: Don't sell ANYTHING, unless it's just a loser. I sold mine in early 80's.... Neighbor kid bought it at a yardsale for 5 bucks... Yes a Johnson rifle for five bucks.... He drags it over to me ask if I still do gunshows... So I give him 15 bucks for it..... Yes 15 big dollarinos.... So my "good" gun tradin buddy comes over the same day and sees it sittin in the corner.... How much for that "thing"... Oh I don't know how bout 55 bucks... He damn near broke his arm tryin to get his wallet out..... Go to the next gunshow and he has $500.00 on it... http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/ph34r.gif

Grey Crow
I'd love to tell of all of the guns over the years that I basically GAVE away, but then I would need a new computer as well from crying over the keyboard. http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/sad.gif I sell out of one hobby to finance the next. Poor dumb boy!
