M1a1 Accessories

Recommended Posts

PhilOhio has this exactly right. I'd only add that the oiler is the later cylindrical M1 / M1A1 version, made of steel, rather than the earlier flat-sided brass oiler with spout. You'll need two of the felt washers, which go in the bottom of the storage hole in the butt. The washers have holes, and so can be used with the '28A1 oiler as well. These will compress slightly with the trap door closed, preventing rattling. These were availiable through IMA, but I haven't checked recently. I got two very nice unused blued original M1A1 oilers from Marstar (Canada) recently. They were $9.95 each. Good luck!
