lightguy
I was watching the Rock Island auction Friday and Saturday for the class 3 stuff.Prices were very high IMO I think from pent up demand and a recovering economy.I was going to "steal" that 7.62 nato converted Bren gun they had estimated at 13-19K.Nope...it pulled 40K before premiums. YIKES !In 20/20 hindsight I should have been a seller of stuff. Waiting for a Trump re-election then I may sell half of my collection.

lightguy
I stay away from auctions. Some get caught up too easily and overbid, forgetting about the BP.Me, I just don't think any auction house is worth 20% BP for holding up something and running a mouth for a couple minutes.Like a surgeon charging you ten grand for 12 minutes worth of work.Just my .02 cents.....I watch the auctions sometimes just to pick up something undervalued every once in awhile.I was working that day or else theses BARs were good deals IMO and this Broomhandle went way too cheap https://auctions.morphyauctions.com/_N__VERY_FINE_WINCHESTER_MODEL_1918_BROWNING_AUTOM-lot476468.aspx https://auctions.morphyauctions.com/_N__HIGH_CONDITION_MARLIN_ROCKWELL_MODEL_1918_BROW-LOT477353.aspx https://auctions.morphyauctions.com/_N__FANTASTIC_THIRD_REICH_MARKED_MAUSER_MODEL_1932-lot482014.aspx Edited June 16, 2020 by lightguy

maxfaxdude
Not a fan of the gold plated commeratives of anything really. And come to think of it, they almost always sell for lower prices.
