25 Round Mags

Recommended Posts

Does anybody know where they went? Seymour made 25,000 of the 25-round mags in 1940, according to Bill Helmer's book. There was no record of a purchaser. So, where did they run off to? Were they sunk in the Atlantic on the way to Britian? My uncle, a Sarge, carried a 1928A1 throughout the Pacific, and he told me more than once that he sure thought he had found 25-round mags at a depot.

Anyway, does anyone have any info on this one? I don't have Doug R.'s book on mags, maybe there's something in there.

Thanks!

Ron

i saw two in the late earl's collection,{around 1999}but one had a faint line in it,so maybe made up..we had a few heated stories to tell each other..........sometimes i figured earl tolerated a thompson r.k.i.who had 30 years of tommygun's under his belt.

we had alot of these talk's on item's.{and i still have the interview on tape}it was going to be a s.a.r.review story,

that i did not bother to submit..................{long dead}

the rest either ended up in the atlantic,or in a warehouse now in the baltic's...

or in the storage of the s.m.c.cartage company....wink!!!
