Looking for M 79 40mm Grenade launcher receiver drawings that may be publicly available to fix defective "carbon fiber" M 79s made for us a while back before the manufacturer bailed

We have been able to finds production drawings for the 1911 (JM Browning Pattern) but not the M-79 to date

We would also be interested in the 1911 slide drawings, Colt Pattern if available?

is it legal under ITAR regs to export gun part tech. drawings out of u.s. with out export licence ? just wondering

Not without State Dept approval. You cannot send Knights rail instructions outside the US without a export permit. Same applies to tactical training, reloading information etc. We ran into this in UAE , KSA and S. Africa. we were cautioned not to discuss even weapon performance.

This is for production in the US, so Question is resolved; however, good point

 

We should all define what is publicly available and what is not also keeping in mind this a a 1950s design so goof question and worth asking so we are all on the right side of what we are doing

 

This probably worth its own discussion to bring clarity to an important subject and give people peace of mind in the process
