dalbert Posted May 9, 2012 Report Share Posted May 9, 2012 All, Did anyone see the "American Guns" episode recently where they fired a LAAWS launcher with the subcaliber insert? Of course, the pyrotechnics on that show are way overstated and staged, but I was wondering whether the rockets they used were actually explosive tipped, or if that was just a story to enable the pyrotechnics? pjmclaughlin54 Posted July 16, 2013 Report Share Posted July 16, 2013 What you saw was M72 LAW with a sub-caliber insert. It fires a M73 35 mm Practice Rocket.
