Whats A Reweld M1a1 Worth?

Recommended Posts

Go at it this way describe in detail, then ask is $xx,xxx.xx a fair price for this gun. You can't expect pricing info otherwise... Maybe a range, but not a fair market value on a single gun..... jmho

http://www.machinegunbooks.com/forums/invboard1_1_2/upload/html/emoticons/laugh.gif Tell the seller you will give him $125.00 for it plus $14,000 because of the 1986 ban, minus $2500 because its a rewelded gun (who does it show as manufacturer on his Form 4?) plus $2500 for Thompson Greed, plus extras. Make sure you pay the shipping and insurance too.

How does the gun look? Can you see where it was rewelded? A buddy gave $11k for one recently. I would call that fair. Re-welds are usually, if you know it is a re-weld, $2k-$4k less then original guns. All depends on the individual or the evil dealer making the buck. If the cut job and weld are very noticable, offer $10k. Just my observation on the guns in the past, reweld often need more work on them. So off to PK for a grand or 2 more worth of work.
