Oldtrooper
This morning I went out back and conducted an unscientific ammunition test with my 1927A1. I used ... Winchester (White Box)PMC BronzeSellier & BellotMagtechPrvi Partizan PPU All 230 gr, FMJ The results of my casual experiment was that the best, and cleanest ammo was the PMC Bronze, followed closely by the Privi Partizan PPU. Sellier & Bellot was hot but a bit dirtier. The Magtech ammo was dirty and didn't seem to have a lot of power ... Hands down the worse ammo was the Winchester ... Horrible fouling and not very consistent in power. and experienced the only feed jams I had ... I ran a 20 round mag of PMC after the Winchester, and it fed 100% through the dirty weapon. As I said, the was totally unscientific, and what works well in my gun might not work as well in another ... I know that all the Winchester ammo I have left is going to be reserved for my 1911's as it works fine in both pistols.
