reconbob
Hello All - I am looking for EXC-MINT condition M1 Thompson stocks for the blank guns. There is a thread up here now about the Length of Pull of Thompson and along the waypeople consider the option of cutting down a stock because the stocks are said to be plentufuland cheap. I am constantly following the price and availability of Thompson parts and in myopinion the M1 stock is now rarer and much more expensive than a M1928A1 stock. There are several places that will sell a 28 stock MINT with no hardware for $15. I knowof no one that has M1 stocks. You have to resort to Ebay or Gunbroker an go for$50+. So does anyone know where I can get M1 stocks? Or is this a part that is gonealong with many others? I am looking for quantities, not a guy on Gunbroker whois selling one... Thanks! Bob
ron_brock
Bob, I agree 1928 wood is very plentiful. However I pick up M1 stocks when I do see them cheap for that same reason. They arent that plentiful Ron
TSMGguy
Bob, Who makes the quality M1 horizontal grips that you've used on your blank guns? Maybe that supplier would like to get into the M1/M1A1 stock business. (I'll bet you already thought of that, huh?)
