Hi. Im new to this forum, and have been wanting a Thompson for a while now. I have a bunch of questions, but just now I have questions about the stocks.
1. will the (detachable) butt stock slide fit any of the Khar models?
2. will the rear pistol grip (without the notch)fit any of the Kahr models?
I have a complete stock set with the butt stock being for the slide. The rear pistol grip does not have the notch in the rear.
The horzional foregrip is milled for the 1/2" mount.
I was hoping to use this stock set on a Khar m1 configuration.
I've looked thru tons of pictures and there always seems to be a mix of the Khar Thompsons with different stock
configurations.......confusing, at least to me.
As always any assist appreciated. Ron

Welcome to the board.
Sorry, none of the stuff you mention will fit on a Kahr without some sort of modification and except for the horizontal fore grip would also not be correct for an M-1 configuration.

Are the modifications extensive, or can they be made with hand tools??

skychair,
The modifications are extensive; even more-so on an M1 (M1's never had detachable stocks.)
The good news is that it can be done.
I would try contacting Damon at www.tommygunner.com or PK.
Both are members of the board and could probably make your gun look and function how you want (except full-auto!
)
It will be a little expensive.

Then can I assume that the modification would be somewhat simpler on a 1927 A1?
I have not purchased a rifle yet....

The Kahr M-1 and Kahr 1927a1 both have the same stock, rear grip and 3/4 in front grip bar. Modifications would be the same in regard to the stock and grips.
